Intermittent Fasting & 12-hour Shifts: A How-To Video

If you’ve been following me for a while, chances are, you’ve heard me mention Intermittent Fasting.

I’ve shared my progress and struggles every step of the way. If you’re new here, you can read more about my IF journey and check out my Diary from week 1 , or see my thoughts from weeks 2 & 3.

Today, I’m excited to share even more with you!

I was recently asked to do a video interview related to IF. The focus of the video is how to make intermittent fasting work with your schedule when you put in long shifts or work nights!

It’s perfect for nurses, healthcare workers, and anyone who works long shifts (or rotating shifts) and is interested in trying IF!

I know first-hand how overwhelming it can all seem. Trying to juggle IF, plan and prep meals, and find your ideal eating window isn’t easy. Especially when you add in working long hours or crazy shifts.

The good news: It is possible!

Autumn Elle, the brains and science behind the Intermittent Fasting protocol I follow, asked me to do a video answering some common questions about utilizing IF as a shift worker.

She posted a Youtube video of my responses and I am sharing it with you! It’s a great place to start if you’re curious about IF, but aren’t sure how to ‘do it‘.

The video is encouraging and has some great tips to help you get started on your own IF journey. Check it out and then get started! I’ve linked the video HERE.

Confession: this was my first time filming anything for Youtube. Cue all the nerves!! Being on video is very new to me, but I had such a blast putting this together and know you’ll enjoy it!  More to come as I get more comfortable. #goodthingsahead
