Intermittent Fasting & 12-hour Shifts: A How-To Video

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve heard me talk about Intermittent Fasting. Today, spoiler alert: there’s a video to go with it!

I’ve shared my progress and struggles every step of the way. But, if you’re new here, you can read more about my IF journey and check out my Diary from week 1 , or see my thoughts from weeks 2 & 3.

I’m excited to share even more with you!

I recently recorded a video related to Intermittent Fasting with the focus on how to make IF work with “off” schedules. Like, working long shifts or nights etc.

It’s perfect for nurses, healthcare workers, and anyone who works late shifts (or rotating shifts) and is interested in trying IF!

In the beginning, it can seem a little overwhelming. You’re trying to juggle IF, plan and prep meals, and nail your ideal eating window. It isn’t always seamless or easy. Plus, when you add in rotating work hours or crazy shifts, it can be a challenge.

The good news: It is possible!

Autumn Elle, the brains and science who introduced me to the world of Intermittent Fasting, had me do a video answering some common questions about utilizing IF as a shift worker.

She posted a Youtube video of my responses and I am sharing it with you! It’s a great place to start if you’re curious about IF, but aren’t sure how to ‘do it‘, because of a crazy schedule.

The video is encouraging and has some great tips to help you get started on your own IF journey. Check it out and get started today! I’ve linked the video HERE.

Confession: this was my first time filming anything for Youtube. Cue all the nerves!! Being on video is very new to me, so it’s a little rough. But despite the on-camera nerves, I had a blast putting this together. I know you’ll enjoy it!  More to come as I get comfortable in front of the camera. #goodthingsahead
