About Wellness In Healthcare

Hi! I’m Dee. I’m a healthcare provider and an exhaustion fighting pro. Basically, if it’s health or wellness related, I’m interested in it and ready to share it with you.


After 16+ years in healthcare, I’ve experienced my share of exhaustion, overwhelm, and putting my health on the back burner. And I’m talking the wayyyyy back burner. 

You can read more about my story here. Thankfully, my past and that dark time in my life, led to me to create Wellness in Healthcare nearly 5 years ago. See…a happy ending after all. 🙂

Fast forward to today: I spend my days administering anesthesia for surgery as an Advanced Practitioner in Boston, MA. On nights and weekends, I continue to support nurses through the Wellness in Healthcare platform and community.


My mission is to help exhausted nurses (and other healthcare professionals) reclaim their energy, health, and optimism about their nursing career. I share resources, tips, tricks, and strategies to help make this a reality. 

Focusing on small shifts, sustainable lifestyle changes, wellness practices, nutrition hacks, and self-care, it’s possible to create a life you love. This community supports a framework designed to serve the whole provider: mind, body, and spirit.

Eating for energy and health has been a recent popular topic and the community is obsessed with how to fuel for optimum performance and wellness. There’s even resources for intermittent fasting.

The goal is to make wellness and a healthy lifestyle Priority Number One…no matter how busy you are!


Because nurses are fleeing the bedside at record numbers and others are looking to leave the nursing profession entirely! Did you know that most new nurses don’t last more than 3 years in the nursing profession? It doesn’t have to be that way! You don’t have to sacrifice your health or sanity for your nursing career.

Like I said, I’ve spent 16+ years in healthcare, and I’ve experienced my share of exhaustion and overwhelm. 

After a very public and humiliating rock-bottom moment left me questioning my nursing career and professional trajectory…I found a way to balance the busy demands, the mile long to-do lists and being pulled in a zillion different directions. And this is all way before a pandemic piled onto our already crazy schedules and exhausting workload.

I’ve been using a consistent strategy and rock solid resources for years now. I’m a stronger, healthier, and a more compassionate person because of it.
